How to trim a video
Take the fumbling off the start of a clip and the walk to the camera off the end. Framewave does it in your browser, on the exact frames you choose, without uploading anything.
Trim in five steps
- Open Framewave and drop your video onto the page, or choose . MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV work.
- Find the first frame to keep. Click the timeline, then step with ← and → until the preview shows it. Press I.
- Find the last frame to keep the same way and press O. Or drag the purple handles at either end of the timeline: the preview shows the frame under the handle.
- Check it. Press / to play just the part you keep.
- Export. Press . Framewave says whether it will copy the video (lossless, seconds) or re-encode it (frame-exact), then saves the file.
Tips
- Type exact times into the and boxes, such as
1:23.400. - ↑ and ↓ jump between key frames: a cut that starts on one copies losslessly in any format.
- Zoom the timeline with the mouse wheel or a pinch to see single frames.
- Made a mistake? Ctrl+Z undoes it.
Private by design. Framewave reads your video where it is and writes the result to your device. Nothing is uploaded.
